Why choose an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)Salt Lake Surgical Center is an ASC. We provide surgical services to patients who do not require a hospital stay. Approximately 80% of all surgical procedures are currently performed in an ASC setting. Typically, ASCs charge less than hospitals. According to Federal data, Medicare patients who have a procedure at an ASC pay an average 41% less out of pocket expense. Out of pocket expenses for other insurances will depend upon your specific plan. Please call us for an estimate of your out of pocket expenses so you can compare us to other providers.

We also offer extended over night care with comprehensive patient assessment, monitoring and intervention.

Did you know that the Salt Lake Surgical Center was the first free-standing outpatient surgical center in Utah and has performed over 160,000 surgeries? It was established in 1976 by a team of anesthesiologists. We provide high quality care and are always striving to meet the needs of our customers and our community. We are a multi-specialty ASC with approximately 120 surgeons on our staff and an excellent, highly qualified nursing staff. Our center was developed by clinical personnel to offer safe, high quality surgical care that is affordable and a convenient alternative to a hospital stay.
